My Blogroll

It has been an awesome journey so far. When I thought of celebrating 3 years of blogging with this event it occurred to me that I did not have a compilation of all the blogs that i had visited so far in my blog trotting adventure. So Updated the list in alphabetical order which took me quite a while. If you wish your blog to be added to this list, please leave a note and also add mine to yours.

Mango Nungu Pudding

Officially the “Agni Natchathiram” alias “Katthiri Veyil” has ended as of yesterday but the heat just refuses to abate. It is very hot still but then you cannot expect an immediate drop in the temperature, right.  It would be like expecting a miracle, but still let us hope so. And what a match. I feel very sad that the month long IPL affair has come to an end. The kids had a great time watching the matches which kept them engaged during the evenings.

Though I personally feel that the cricket fever had been an overdose after the world cup I can’t help but take part in cheering the home team, CSK on that lively and energy filled Saturday evening. I had made this pudding in the after noon itself to enjoy later during our match watching session. It was super duper good, cool and refreshing.

Roasted Almonds Chocolate Ice-Cream | Eggless and Homemade

When I thought of celebrating my blog birthday and announced this event I really wanted to make this ice cream and post it as this happens to be family’s favorite. My kids also wished for the same, they knew that the blog did not have a single ice cream post and wanted me to post specially for this occasion.

Banana Yogurt Shake

A very brief of spell of rain on fine night just could not provide enough relief from the sweltering heat. It is so horrible, the worst affected are children and elders of course. I just could not find enough appetite to eat any of form sold foods and cooking for the day has been kept to minimal.

Mango Sweet Pachadi

Every year I look forward to the mango season specially for making this pachadi. Though this pachadi is an essential on Tamil New Year's day I make it quite often all through the season as it is a great combo all the flavors and the tangy taste is enough to make my kids eat their lunch without any fuss.

Awards Shower

Before I start another week of blogging and posting, I would like to take time and say my heart felt thanks to my lovely and sweet fellow bloggers who have taken their time to remember me and share these wonderful awards with me.

Once again I would like to thank Chitra, Ambreen, Prathima Shivraj, Vardhini, Aarthi and Raksha for sharing their awards with me. So sweet and kind of them.

I had been postponing this post for some time and feel so bad for not acknowledging this earlier it self. But I guess now is better than never at all. It feels nice to be remembered and acknowledged as it gives a meaning and purpose for your effort.

Oats Cookies

This has happened before and I’m sure this will happen again. Wondering what it is? Well, it is Hubby dear volunteering to do some grocery shopping on my busy day. He goes off and returns back an hour and half later which would have normally taken me just half hour minus half the things mentioned by me plus a load of things quite not necessary at all.

One of his impulsive purchases was a popular brand of oats cookies. One bite and he started complaining that it tasted like saw dust. My kids too refused to have them siding with their father. I had to agree with him on that aspect. It did taste well... not like saw dust but quite tasteless and bland. What more can you expect in cookies manufactured specifically for Dieters?

Hubby dear’s argument is that just because a person is dieting it doesn’t mean that the food has to be tasteless and bland. Well I agree with him on that too. So I volunteered to bake the same cookies but quite the opposite of his purchase to which the children readily agreed and had a wonderful time in helping me to bake them.

Watermelon Cooler

I love watermelons with a passion. Well look at the fruit. What an utterly beautiful color combination. Tie-in-dye look alike with the white and green in the outer with a bright hue of red with black dots like in the insides. Isn't it gorgeous?

What it lacks in the smell department it neatly compensates with its rich color and water content. I can’t say the same for other fruits. Instead of just eating the fruit, why not juice it and enjoy on a hot sunny afternoon to quench your thirst.
