Chocolate Peda Recipe

Chocolate peda recipe with step by step photos. These chocolate peda takes only 10 mins to make and is perfect for beginners who are looking to make a sweet either for Diwali or for any special occasions.

These also make a wonderful personalized gift from you to your friends and relatives.

My family is not that big on milk sweets in general and as I very rarely get unsweetened khoya at my place, I rarely make milk based sweets at home. And making khoya from scratch is not something I look forward to as well.

This year for Diwali the kids wanted me to make something with chocolate and So when I managed to get hold of a pack of khoya , these chocolate pedas is what I thought of making immediately.

How to make Chocolate Peda recipe:

1. Crumble the khoya in a pan

2. Heat it over low flame till it liquefies and spreads around.

3. Add sugar, milk and mix well.

4. Cook for 5-7 mins over low flame, add ghee.

5. Switch off the fire when it comes into a mass without sticking to the pan.

6. When you drag the spatula across the center, it should stay put without the gap closing immediately. That is the consistency.

7. Add cocoa powder and mix well. Keep aside to let the mixture become warm.

8. Grease your hands with ghee and knead well. Make small balls and make a thumb impression in the center.

9. Fill with de-skinned almond slivers and chopped pistachios. Chocolate peda is ready. Keep it refrigerated.

Arrange these in a box, wrap with colored ribbons and these make a wonderful homemade gift to your friends and relatives.
