Paneer Potato Pops Recipe - Aloo Paneer Balls

An indulging snack with potato and paneer that kids will love.

  • Paneer – 1 cup
  • Potato - 1 boiled
  • Onion – 1
  • Green chillies – 1
  • Ginger – 1/2 inch size
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Bread Slices – 2
  • Amchur powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves – 3 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Oil – to deep fry


  • Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan. Add chopped onion and sauté till it turns translucent. Add ginger and green chilies and sauté for a minute more.
  • Add red chili powder, garam masala powder, Amchur powder, salt, mashed potato and mix once.
  • Add crumbled paneer, coriander leaves and mix well with the spices and onion mixture.
  • Place the bread slices in a mixie jar and powder to a coarse consistency.
  • Add it to the potato-paneer mixture and mix well using your hands and making into soft dough.
  • Make small ping pong ball sized balls from the dough. Heat a pan with oil for deep frying. When the oil is hot enough drop the balls till the pan can hold and deep fry to a golden brown.
  • Remove on to a kitchen paper to remove excess oil.
  • Paneer potato pops is ready to be served hot with tomato ketchup or mint chutney.


Instead of deep frying you can also place the balls in an appe pan and cook over low flame till done.
